Day 41: Corning to Cazenovia

What a beautiful ride. We made our way through the Finger Lakes region of New York, including passing through the town of Ithaca. It was a tough ride, but the vistas at the top of the climbs made it worth it. They were beautiful, but difficult to photograph. We also had one screamin' descent on perfectly paved road that allowed me to hit 46 mph. Again sorry, Steph, but I do love to go down hill fast. The weather was perfect. It rained a bit before we left and then the rain stayed ahead of us all day, so it wasn't too hot or too sunny.

We ended our day in the town of Cazenovia, NY, which I'll admit I had never heard of before this trip. In fact, many of the towns we've stayed in I had never heard of before this trip. However, when we pulled into the parking lot of the hotel we saw a spectacular view of the lake behind it. The place we're staying is called the Brewster Inn. It is possibly the nicest place we've stayed the whole trip.

Today marked the last of our official century rides. My Garmin hit the 100 mile mark 15 times on this trip. I've also had three rides that crossed 99 miles, which aren't official century rides, but in my book close enough. We still have three rides greater than 90 miles to go, but everything after today should be less 100.
