Day 34: Marshall, MI to Rossford, OH

Welcome home! Well, not home, home, but where I grew up. We made it to Ohio. Our 10th state. I rode through Maumee, over the Maumee River, and through downtown Perrysburg. All part of my old stomping grounds. It's really hard to believe that I've ridden all the way to Ohio.

Today was a long day, but not as bad as we thought it would be. We didn't have both wind and rain, just wind. We had a few sprinkles in the afternoon, which were kind of nice, and the clouds kept the temperature down. And in fact, the morning wasn't too bad at all. However, after lunch the wind really picked up and we had at least 35 miles of some really strong wind. It took some very solid teamwork to pull ourselves through, but we made it. It was a tiring day, but it's good to know that our last super long mileage day is over. Also, my legs were more responsive today, which was definitely helpful when pulling into a headwind.

As for scenery, it was similar to yesterday. Farms, lakes, and some nice small towns. Not many photos because it was more of heads down and pedal hard kind of day.

Tomorrow is another "short" day, but again we face the prospect of rain.
