Today was a short day, but it definitely wasn't an easy day. We were up and down all morning and hit several double digit grades. But it was another fun day. The Wisconsin countryside makes for some beautiful riding.
We ended our ride today at the state capital building where the Trek Travel corporate office threw us an amazing picnic, which included some Wisconsin classics like cheese curds that actually squeak and New Glarus beer. During the picnic we got to meet the CEO of Trek Travel, received our custom Trek Travel cross country bibs and jersey, and had a very friendly little bird join us. After lunch we rode a few short blocks to our hotel. And since today was such a short riding day I had enough time to do laundry so I don't have to do it on the rest day tomorrow.
It's definitely hard to believe that we've made it all the way to the middle of Wisconsin and our third rest day.
