Today was our first of four rest days. I spent the day chilling in Missoula. I walked around a bit, did my laundry, ate a lot, watched a few movies, and wrote a few cards to my kids. Missoula seems like a fun town and I'd love to come back when I have more time and energy to explore.

Tomorrow is a big day. One of our longest at 125 miles. So I'm off to enjoy the remaining hour or so before bed.

Trip Recap:

  • Days riding: 10

  • Total distance: 788 miles

  • Total elevation gain: 38,975 ft

Day 12 details - Missoula to Helena

  • planned distance: 125 miles

  • planned elevation gain: 5884 ft

In a previous post, you mentioned you are riding 38mm tires. This intrigued me and I have some related questions. Clincher or tubeless? Tire brand/model? Target tire pressure (front & rear)? What's your wheelset? Did you choose 38mm for comfort?

Gideon, thanks for the details regarding your wheelset and tire set-up. I learned a few things! Your wheels are pretty wide (25mm internal rim width, 32mm external width) which easily accommodate your 38s. No doubt your ride is more comfortable with tubeless set-up and only 55psi! Keep on rolling...........😁
